  • 2 cups Valentine’s M&Ms
  • 2 cups frosted animal crackers

  • Shake with powdered sugar. Add the powdered sugar to a 2-gallon resealable bag. Transfer the coated cereal into the bag, seal tightly, and shake until evenly coated. If using smaller bags, divide and shake in batches.
  • Cool the mixture. Spread the coated cereal on wax or parchment paper and let cool for 5–10 minutes.
  • Add mix-ins. Once cool, return the cereal to a large bowl or bag. Add the Valentine’s M&Ms, frosted animal crackers, and sprinkles. Stir or shake gently to combine.

Notes

When shaking powdered sugar, seal the bag well to avoid spills and check the seal before shaking.

Let the coated cereal cool completely before adding M&Ms or frosted crackers to prevent melting or loss of crunch.

Ensure the cereal feels dry and cool before mixing in extras to keep the texture crisp.

If you don’t have themed M&Ms or animal crackers, substitute mini marshmallows, pretzels, or other favorites.

To reduce sweetness, use a bit less powdered sugar. For more chocolate flavor, add mini chocolate chips after cooling.

Kids can help—shaking bags and adding sprinkles are fun tasks. Just make sure the bag is sealed.

Portion into individual bags or cups for parties to keep servings neat and festive.
