Place the stainless steel liner into the Instant Pot and set the trivet inside. Pour in 1 cup of water.

Arrange the sweet potatoes on the trivet — do not place them directly in the liner or they may stick and burn.

Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Select Manual/High pressure and set the cook time to 15 minutes.

The potatoes have cooked and have been split open for toppings.

When the timer ends, allow a 10-minute natural release. After that, carefully open the valve to release any remaining pressure.

Open the Instant Pot and use tongs to remove the sweet potatoes. They’re ready to serve with your favorite toppings.
