Method Kitchen Hand Wash Review: Scent, Performance & Verdict

I recently had the chance to try Method’s new odor-eliminating kitchen hand wash, available exclusively from Method’s online store.

You can also follow Method on Facebook.

When I chop onion, garlic or seafood, the lingering odors on my hands used to bother me for hours. This hand wash tackles those stubborn smells effectively. It creates a rich lather and leaves a pleasant fragrance—either lemongrass-citronnelle or clementine—so your hands actually smell fresh after washing.

You only need a small amount—less than the size of a 5 cent piece—to get good coverage. The formula rinses clean and leaves hands feeling soft and refreshed rather than dry or tight.

My skin can be sensitive to some soaps, but I haven’t had any irritation while using this product, which is a welcome bonus.

At $7.99 for a 532 ml bottle, it’s reasonably priced. After two weeks of regular use I’ve only dispensed a small amount, so the bottle should last a long time.

I also appreciate Method’s design and sustainability philosophy: they aim to design products and packaging so materials can be reused or recycled, creating items with both a past and a future.
