With the holidays approaching, your oven will likely be busy. Using a pressure cooker frees oven space and cuts cooking time for whole sweet potatoes, making holiday prep simpler.
How to make Instant Pot sweet potatoes?
Start by washing and drying the sweet potatoes thoroughly to remove dirt and debris before cooking.

Place the stainless steel liner into the Instant Pot and set the trivet inside. Pour in 1 cup of water.
Arrange the sweet potatoes on the trivet — do not place them directly in the liner or they may stick and burn.
Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Select Manual/High pressure and set the cook time to 15 minutes.

When the timer ends, allow a 10-minute natural release. After that, carefully open the valve to release any remaining pressure.
Open the Instant Pot and use tongs to remove the sweet potatoes. They’re ready to serve with your favorite toppings.
