Bacon Wrapped Cheese Stuffed Dates🎄
The ultimate sweet-and-salty appetizer — easy to make and sure to disappear fast. These bite-sized treats are perfect for holiday parties or casual get-togethers and are simple enough to make with kids.
➡️ Any soft cheese works here:
Try goat cheese, gorgonzola, blue cheese, or cream cheese — use your favorite soft cheese for the filling.
➡️ About the Bacon:
Choose high-quality bacon when possible. Nitrate-free and humanely raised options are widely available — read labels so you know what you’re buying.
We enjoy bacon occasionally at our home; when we do, we savor it. For this recipe, real cream cheese works wonderfully if you prefer it.
My favorite brand of cream cheese is pasture-raised Organic Valley.
I haven’t tested a dairy-free version of this recipe since my family eats dairy in moderation. If you have a dairy-free suggestion, please share it in the comments to help readers with dairy allergies or intolerances.

Makes about 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 3.5 oz goat cheese or any soft cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 12 Medjool dates
- 6 thin-cut strips of nitrate-free bacon, cut in half to make 12 pieces
- Freshly chopped chives, for garnish
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix the cheese with the garlic salt until well combined.

Make a lengthwise slit in each date, open it up, and remove the pit.

Stuff each date with about 2 teaspoons of the cheese mixture and pinch the date closed to secure the filling.

Wrap each stuffed date with a half strip of bacon and arrange them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 15–20 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the bacon is browned and crisp.

Serve warm or at room temperature. Garnish with chopped chives and a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper.
Enjoy!
